S'mores
(no Girl Scout recipe page would be
complete with out this recipe.)
smore
graham crackers
chocolate bars
marshmallows

Put a 1/4 of a chocolate bar
between two graham crackers.
Toast the marshmallow on a stick
over a campfire. Put marshmallow
on top of the chocolate bar in
between the graham crackers.
Let cool, then eat.
S'mores can also be made in the
microwave. Put a marshmallow on
a graham cracker. Put on a
microwave safe plate and microwave
only for a few seconds. Take out
of microwave and place chocolate
and graham cracker on top and smoosh
down. Be careful not to burn yourself.
They are called "s'mores" because
everyone always wants some more.

Sippy Oranges

thick peppermint sticks

Carefully cut a hole with a knife
in the top of the orange.
Have the girl stick the peppermint
stick in the hole in the top
of the orange. Have the girls
suck on the end of the peppermint
stick like a straw. The juice
from the orange with come through
the candy stick.

Cranberry Orange Relish

2 cups cranberries (1/2 lb.)
1 orange
3/4 cup sugar

Wash the cranberries. Slice up the orange
with the peel still on. Take the seeds
out of the orange. Put cranberries
and orange into a food processor and chop.
Blend in the sugar.Refrigerate.

No Bake Cookies
No Bake Cookies

2 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk in a sausepan.
Bring to a boil while strirring.Boil for one minute.
Remove pan from heat and stir in the oatmeal,
peanut butter, and vanilla. Drop by tablespoons
full onto wax paper. Let cool.

Campfire Stew
hamburger

2 pounds of hamburger
1 chopped onion
2 10 3/4 ounce cans of condensed vegetable soup
water
salt and pepper

Cover the bottom and lower edges of a large
cooking pot with liquid dish soap.
(This keeps the soot from sticking
to the bottom of the pot.)
Brown hamburger thoroughly with salt,
pepper, and onion in the pot over the fire.
Add soup and enough water to keep it from sticking.
Cover and cook slowly.
